Job summary

The Children's Guild in Baltimore, MD, seeks a Therapist/Clinician to provide individual, group, and family therapy to children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral challenges.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, the clinician conducts assessments, develops treatment plans, maintains confident EHR documentation, collaborates with schools and psychiatrists, and ensures HIPAA compliance while engaging families as partners.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
• Active Maryland licensure (LCSW, LCPC, LMSW, LGPC, or equivalent).
• Minimum 2–5 years of post‑graduate clinical experience with children/adolescents/families.
• Experience providing therapy to youth with diverse mental health and trauma-related needs.
• Knowledge of child development, family systems, and trauma-informed care.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations for child/adolescent clients.
• Develop, implement, and review individualized treatment plans with clients, families, and the team.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based modalities (CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, play therapy).
• Maintain clinical documentation in the EHR per standards.
• Coordinate care with psychiatrists, case managers, school staff, and community providers.
• Participate in supervision and ongoing professional development.
• Engage families as active partners in therapy.
• Adhere to COMAR, CARF, and federal/state regulations; maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
• Participate in crisis assessment and safety planning as needed.
