Job summary

The Debra Simon Center at Hackensack University Medical Center is seeking a dynamic Child and Adolescent Psychologist to join our interdisciplinary healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive, outcome-driven outpatient care to patients facing a full range of DSM diagnoses, often complicated by compound stressors and comorbid medical conditions.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) from an APA-accredited program in Clinical Psychology.
• Completion of an APA-approved internship in Pediatric and/or Adult Clinical Psychology.
• Active New Jersey Psychologist License.
• Minimum of 5 years of related clinical experience; DBT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outpatient care across intake, assessment, and treatment planning.
• Provide evidence-based psychotherapy (CBT, DBT, ACT) in individual, family, and group formats.
• Supervise, train, and mentor junior staff and trainees; develop externships and internships.
• Use brief assessments and outcomes data to evaluate and adjust treatment effectiveness.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and act as a behavioral health consultant across departments.
