Job summary

UTMB Health in Galveston, TX invites applications for a Postdoctoral Clinical Fellow in Psychiatry/Behavioral Science. The appointment focuses on assessments, evidence-based psychotherapy with youth and families, and coordination within a multidisciplinary team under licensed supervision.

The fellow will conduct child, adolescent, and family evaluations, develop treatment plans, complete clinical documentation, and contribute to education of medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications

• Completion of an APA-accredited PhD program with degree conferred prior to fellow start date.
• Completion of an APA-approved internship in child and adolescent clinical/counseling or pediatric psychology.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments and develop psychological treatment plans.
• Carry out evidence-based psychotherapy visits with youth and families.
• Complete clinical documentation for all services provided.
• Respond effectively to direction and feedback provided by clinical supervisors.
• Communicate with other members of the treatment team to coordinate care.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
