Job summary

Michigan Medicine is seeking an Advanced Practice Professional to join the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) as a 1.0 FTE role. NP or PA candidates will be considered and will work closely with supervising faculty psychiatrists and the PHP team at the Ypsilanti Health Center.

Responsibilities include daily patient assessments, treatment planning, and coordination of care with multidisciplinary providers.

Qualifications

• Current licensure to practice as a registered nurse and Nurse Practitioner specialty certification in Michigan.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner recognized by the NCSBN.
• One or more years of pediatric or child psychiatry experience.
• Current DEA registration or plan to obtain.
• AHA BLS required.
• For PA: Michigan license and NCCPA Psychiatry qualification.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary provider for child and adolescent patients in the PHP.
• Daily assessments and formulation of treatment plans with the PHP team.
• Conduct physical examinations and diagnostic workups as needed.
• Participate in team, family, and care coordination meetings.
• Assist with program development and quality improvement.
• Coordinate transitions of care with multidisciplinary providers.
