Cahaba Medical Care Foundation in Marion, Alabama seeks a board-certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive psychiatric care for pediatric and adolescent patients in school-based health centers across Perry County. You will perform evaluations, manage medications, deliver evidence-based psychotherapy, and collaborate with families, schools, and pediatricians.

The role includes emergency evaluations, care coordination, and teaching learners as Cahaba is a teaching health

Formación

• MD/DO degree required and board-certified in psychiatry or board-eligible with fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Active Alabama medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Current DEA registration and eligibility to prescribe controlled substances.

Responsabilidades

• Direct patient care at multiple locations (CMC sites).
• Review treatment plans with PCPs and BH staff for complex cases.
• Conduct biopsychosocial evaluations for patients aged 0–18+.
• Diagnose and treat pediatric mental health conditions.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications.
• Provide evidence-based psychotherapy and collaborate with clinicians.
• Coordinate care with families, schools, and community resources.
• Perform emergency psychiatric evaluations and risk assessments.
