The position emphasizes consultation, targeted intervention, and capacity-building across pediatric primary care, with opportunities for teaching and academic collaboration.

The role supports primary care clinicians, with a focus on anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral concerns, and offers a pathway

Qualifications

• MD or DO required with psychiatry residency completed
• Current or eligible licensure in Maine by the Board of Licensure in Medicine
• Board certification by ABPN or eligibility as documented by evidence

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric consultations to support diagnostic clarification and treatment recommendations for pediatric patients.
• Deliver focused psychiatric assessment and treatment for acute needs with transition planning to specialty outpatient psychiatry or primary care.
• Offer asynchronous and real-time chart consultations to pediatric PCPs across southern Maine.
• Provide ongoing clinical guidance to pediatric primary care clinicians in evidence-based assessment and treatment of behavioral health conditions.
• Support triage and referral decision-making across levels of care.
