Job summary

Commonwealth Medical Services in Valdosta, GA, is seeking a Board-certified or eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join its 140-bed behavioral health hospital. You will provide inpatient mental health care to children and adolescents and work within a multidisciplinary team.

The role supports a full continuum of behavioral health services, including PHP and IOP, and offers competitive compensation and benefits with an anticipated start date in September.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry; Georgia licensure eligible.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat children and adolescents with psychiatric disorders.
• Provide inpatient psychiatric care.
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, psychologists, and social workers.
• Participate in treatment planning and family education.
• Support continuity of care through PHP and IOP when appropriate.
