Job summary

Solano County is seeking a Board Certified Child Psychiatrist to perform psychiatric evaluations and diagnoses for clients under 21, and to develop, monitor, and evaluate treatment plans including psychotherapy and medications for in-patient and out-patient child/adolescent clients. The role includes various administrative duties to support the program.

Requirements include completion of a 3-4 year ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency with one year of child/adolescent treatment experience, ABPN

Qualifications

• Completion of an ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency including one year in child/adolescent treatment.
• Board certification by the ABPN in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is required.
• Must hold a valid California physician and surgeon license.
• Some positions require a valid California driver’s license, Class C.

Responsibilities

• Perform psychiatric evaluations and diagnoses for clients under 21.
• Develop, monitor, and evaluate treatment plans, including psychotherapy and medications.
• Perform administrative tasks to support program services.
