Job summary

OU Health in Oklahoma City seeks a full-time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences on the Clinical Educator track, with 90% clinical effort and 10% administration, education and research. The role reports to the Chief of the Child Psychiatry Section and includes a faculty appointment with the University of Oklahoma.

Qualifications

• A Medical degree and Oklahoma Medical License.
• Successful completion of an accredited child fellowship program.
• Board eligible in Child Psychiatry.
• Knowledge of and experience managing complex clinical cases.
• Ability to work under intense pressure and lead an interdisciplinary team.
• Excellent teaching, analytic and scholarship skills.

Responsibilities

• Meeting with patients and evaluating conditions, safety or disabilities.
• Developing treatment plans and leading teams with various therapies and meds as needed.
• Determining level of care and hospitalization needs.
• Educating families and guardians on support strategies.
• Consulting with OU Health providers, social services and court systems.
• Supervise residents, students and fellows.
• Timely documentation for assessments, follow ups, admissions and discharges.
• Participating in scholarly activities and quality improvement.
