Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital / Saint Francis Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England, seeks a part-time RN for inpatient Child/Adolescent Psychiatric care. Inpatient unit handles ages 5–17 with acute and chronic psychiatric conditions.

You will assess, medicate, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized treatment plans. The role requires Connecticut RN licensure and nursing school graduation; bachelor’s degree and pediatric psych experience are

Formación

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
• Valid RN license in Connecticut.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred).
• One or more years of Child/Adolescent Psychiatric inpatient experience (preferred).
• BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) (preferred).

Description:

At Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital / Saint Francis Hospital the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric unit provides inpatient care age-appropriate, compassionate, and effective care to patients aged 5 to 17 with acute and chronic psychiatric conditions. Behavioral Health and Mental Health disorders including (but not limited to): Anxiety, Depression, PTSD; Autism spectrum Disorder and AD/HD

What you will do

• Perform comprehensive mental health assessments and ongoing evaluations.
• Administer medications and monitor for therapeutic effects and side effects. Support de-escalation and crisis intervention using trauma-informed care principles.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school
• Valid RN license in Connecticut

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• The ideal candidate will have one or more years of Child/Adolsecent Psych experience in a acute inpatient setting experience.
• BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

Pay Range:

$36.15 - $59.95 per hour

Pay is based on RN experience. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
