Petticoat Schmitt Civil Contractors Inc in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Chief Estimator for the Water & Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) division. You will lead the estimating team, drive strategy to improve win rates, and align bids with project goals, risk tolerance, and profitability.

You will oversee detailed WWTP estimates, mentor staff, and collaborate with PMs and field teams to optimize constructability and value engineering, with travel within the region as needed.

Qualifications

• 10 years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction.
• Experience leading estimating teams and improving bid strategy.
• Ability to read complex civil, structural, process, and mechanical plans.
• Proficiency with estimating software HCSS Bid2Win PlanSwift Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the WWTP estimating team with standards for performance.
• Oversee preparation of detailed estimates for complex water and wastewater projects.
• Review pricing assumptions and risk factors; validate accuracy of bids.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and field teams to ensure constructability.
• Drive continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools.
