The Virgin Islands Department of Justice seeks a Director for the White Collar and Public Corruption Unit to oversee prosecution of high‑level white collar crimes and corruption cases. You will serve as Assistant Chief of the Criminal Division and guide policy, program priorities, and staff performance across St. Thomas and St.

Croix divisions. The role requires senior legal experience, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate with federal and local agencies.

Competenze

• Knowledge of Virgin Islands Code and federal rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of legal principles and their application.
• Knowledge of Criminally Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (CICO) and CICO asset forfeiture statutes.
• Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written presentation.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships among and with management and staff.
• Ability to maintain highly confidential and sensitive information.
• Ability to plan, organize, supervise, and motivate the work of the Unit’s staff.
• Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues.

Mansioni

• Oversee the daily management of staff from the White-Collar Crime and Public Corruption Unit.
• Report directly to the Chiefs of the Criminal Division and keep leadership updated on case progress.
• Prosecute white collar and public corruption cases.
• Supervise support staff and specialists assigned to the Unit.
• Assign Unit attorneys and staff to investigations and prosecutions.
• Submit managerial reports as due and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Implement department policies and manage unit according to policy.
• Collaborate with other agencies and divisions.
