Career Crunch is seeking a Chief Technology Officer to lead our engineering organization supporting MSP, Federal Consulting, and NG9-1-1 Interoperability Lab. The role blends strategic architecture with hands-on operations to ensure reliable, secure engagements.

You will shape roadmaps, oversee budgets, mentor engineers, and partner with executives to turn business goals into technical reality while prioritizing security and performance.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years hands-on experience in telecommunications and network engineering.
• 7+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams.
• Deep understanding of IP networking, VoIP, cybersecurity, and emergency communications.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering roadmaps and oversee deployment across MSP, Federal, and NG9-1-1 lines of business.
• Lead daily engineering operations with resource optimization and milestone tracking.
• Translate business requirements into actionable technical plans with executives.
• Provide security leadership to harden mission-critical platforms against threats.
• Coach and develop the engineering team to attract and retain top talent.

Job description

We are seeking a leader to serve as our Chief Technology Officer. This role is designed for a technical heart who thrives on the duality of leadership: part strategic architect, part operational leader. You will oversee the company's engineering team who supports our Managed Services Provider (MSP), Federal Consulting, and NG9-1-1 Interoperability Test Lab lines of business, ensuring that every engagement meets the high standards of reliability and security. Successful candidate must have rich experience in IP networking, Cybersecurity, Voice over IP (VoIP) technology and Public Safety Communications.

Key Responsibilities and Objectives

• Bridge Strategy & Execution: Turn high-level company goals into technical reality by designing engineering roadmaps and managing them through to successful deployment.
• Operational Oversight: Lead daily engineering operations with a focus on resource optimization, milestone achievement, and budgetary discipline.
• Partner with company executives to turn business requirements into engineering roadmaps.
• Security Leadership: Oversee critical cybersecurity task, ensuring our mission-critical communication platforms are hardened against emerging threats.
• Team Development: Build a culture of excellence through active coaching, performance management, and strategic talent acquisition.

Requirements

• Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of IP networking, VoIP, cybersecurity, and the specialized requirements of Next Generation 911 and Emergency Communications.
• Leadership: 7+ years of experience managing engineering teams and navigating complex project lifecycles.
• Technical Depth: 10+ years of hands-on experience in telecommunications and network engineering.
• Academic Foundation: BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering.
