Job summary

ActAI seeks a Chief Technology Officer to own technology strategy, architecture and engineering standards across the Group. This role combines heavy technical leadership with hands-on review of systems, architecture and code.

You will set standards for reliability, security and performance, identify debt, and drive architectural decisions across multiple products. You will recruit senior engineers and align shared tech across businesses.

Qualifications

• Deep software engineering background with experience building and scaling production systems.
• Strong knowledge of backend systems, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Experience making architecture decisions across multiple products or engineering teams.
• Strong technical judgement and ability to challenge engineering decisions at implementation level.
• Capable of building world-class engineering teams.
• Still technically hands-on - able to review code, architecture, incidents and difficult engineering problems directly.

About the Role
