Job summary

Heitmeyer Consulting is seeking a technology strategy and AI deployment leader to drive transformation initiatives for U.S. banks, credit unions, and fintechs. You will set roadmaps, design AI apps, and align delivery with sales and recruiting, delivering reusable IP and measurable results.

You will own architecture, data foundations, governance, and vendor relationships, ensuring secure, scalable solutions that accelerate client outcomes across practice areas.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering technology solutions in a consulting or professional services environment and understanding discovery, scoping, proposals, delivery economics, and client expectations.
• Hands-on technical depth with software, integrations, data solutions, or automations and ability to work across business conversations, architecture decisions, and implementation.
• Proven practical AI experience with production-grade AI use cases and understanding of data quality, evaluation, integration, security, human oversight, and operational adoption.

Your mandate

Make technology a competitive advantage for Heitmeyer and our clients. Understand the business problem, identify the root cause, and build the simplest effective solution. Connect internal improvements to stronger sales, recruiting, and delivery, and partner with practice leaders to develop reusable solutions banks want and need.

What you will own

• Technology and AI strategy. Set and execute a prioritized roadmap across sales, recruiting, consulting, and operations. Make clear build, buy, and partner decisions based on business value, cost, and speed to results.
• Hands-on development and deployment. Design, prototype, integrate, and deploy AI applications, automations, and data tools. Stay close to architecture and implementation, and take useful ideas through adoption and measurable results.
• Sales and recruiting capabilities. Connect client signals, relationship intelligence, pipeline, and talent data to improve opportunity identification, meeting preparation, proposals, sourcing, screening, matching, and redeployment. Build broad candidate networks captured and maintained in Heitmeyer's proprietary internal systems.
• Consulting IP and client solutions. Work with practice leaders and deployed consultants to identify recurring bank needs and turn domain expertise into reusable assessments, accelerators, AI applications, and repeatable solutions. Help shape proposals, demonstrate capabilities, and support delivery so successful work can be reused across clients.
• Internal technology and data. Own applications, architecture, integrations, reporting, and a trusted data foundation. Improve the systems our teams use every day, including CRM, ATS, collaboration, and workflow tools.
• Execution and stewardship. Own the technology budget, vendors, support model, reliability, information security, and AI governance. Set priorities, coordinate internal and external resources, and equip teams to adopt new capabilities responsibly.

What you bring

• Consulting experience is required. You have delivered technology solutions in a consulting or professional services environment and understand discovery, scoping, proposals, delivery economics, and client expectations.
• Hands-on technical depth. You have personally built and deployed software, integrations, data solutions, or automations and remain comfortable working directly with technology. You can move between business conversations, architecture decisions, and implementation.
• Practical AI experience. You have taken AI use cases into production and can explain their business impact. You understand data quality, evaluation, integration, security, human oversight, and the work required to make AI useful in daily operations.
• Commercial judgment. You can translate a business need into a solution, distinguish a one-time customization from reusable IP, and connect technology investments to revenue, delivery quality, productivity, and margin.
• Ownership and execution. You want accountability for building and growing the function. You can prioritize with limited resources, make decisions, manage tradeoffs, and follow through from idea to adoption.
• Leadership and communication. You earn trust with executives, consultants, and technical teams. You explain complex choices clearly, challenge weak assumptions, and build support for changes in how people work.
• Security and governance fluency. You understand how to protect firm and client information and build capabilities that can withstand bank vendor diligence and responsible AI review.

Experience that strengthens your fit

• Direct banking experience is strongly preferred, either working inside a bank or serving banks as a technology consultant. You understand how banks operate, make technology decisions, manage risk and controls, and move solutions into production.
• Building technology capabilities, teams, or service offerings within a consulting firm.
• Microsoft Azure, Copilot, and Power Platform; CRM and ATS integrations; and enterprise data architecture.
• Turning subject matter expertise into repeatable tools or solutions used across multiple engagements.
