Job summary

VT Group (VTG) seeks an experienced Senior SME to lead and align technical execution across DoD/IC digital optimization programs. This role serves as the senior technical authority responsible for secure, scalable, and mission-aligned solutions that modernize legacy systems and accelerate outcomes.

The candidate should have 10–15 years of DoD/IC experience, with leadership in cloud, DevSecOps, and secure system design, plus RMF/ATO and Zero Trust familiarity.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years in DoD/IC programs with senior leadership.
• Experience designing solutions in classified/regulatory environments.
• Strong background in software architectures, cloud, and IT modernization.
• Hands-on DevSecOps, automation tools, CI/CD, and IaC.
• Solid cybersecurity and Zero Trust knowledge.
• Familiarity with RMF/ATO processes and security stakeholders.
• Ability to lead teams and communicate with engineers and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Chief Technical Authority across multiple DoD/IC programs.
• Define and govern architectures, standards, and engineering practices.
• Mentor senior technical staff across multiple disciplines.
• Translate mission needs into secure, scalable solutions.
• Promote DevSecOps, CI/CD, IaC, and automated testing in classified environments.
• Ensure compliance with DoD/IC policies and frameworks (RMF, NIST).
• Collaborate with Program Managers on risk, cost, schedule, and performance.
• Engage government stakeholders as a trusted advisor.
• Support capture efforts, staffing, and risk mitigation.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance mission effectiveness.
