Job summary

The Allen Institute seeks a visionary scientific leader to serve as Executive Vice President and Co-Director of the Neural Dynamics Accelerator. Reporting to the Institute President, you will co-lead strategic vision, manage operations and personnel, and coordinate cross-disciplinary teams to advance brain research and open science.

Qualifications

• Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent in neuroscience or related field (as listed).
• 12+ years of relevant post-PhD experience in scientific leadership roles.
• 7+ years of experience in leading operational efforts around research.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary programs and managing large research initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Co-lead strategic research agenda across core areas of Neural Dynamics.
• Lead and mentor research staff and program managers; ensure alignment with priorities.
• Oversee operations, budgets, and milestones; coordinate cross-team collaboration.
• Promote open science, external engagement, and partnerships to accelerate discovery.
