Job summary

The Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) at the University of Colorado Boulder invites nominations and applications for the Senior Director for Science. As a senior leader reporting to the LASP Director, you will shape strategy, oversee faculty and staff, and collaborate across divisions. The role requires a Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline required.
• Internationally recognized record of scientific achievement and leadership.
• 10+ years of experience with large interdisciplinary collaborations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic scientific direction for LASP and advise the Director on institutional positioning.
• Lead major research programs, mission science teams, and develop long-term scientific strategy.
• Mentor and develop LASP scientists and ensure inclusive, multidisciplinary collaboration.
