Job summary

UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is hiring a Regular Full-Time Chief Radiation Therapist for the Aspinwall/Pittsburgh, PA area. The role leads daily department operations, includes a $15,000 sign-on bonus, and a daytime schedule Monday through Friday.

The Chief will oversee regulatory readiness, quality initiatives, fiscal controls, staff education, and clinical supervision of radiation therapy staff, reporting to the manager as needed.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory affairs management: champion and participate in regulatory compliance activities and maintain readiness for inspections and surveys; ensure licensure for staff.
• Quality Assurance / CQI program management: evaluate performance, develop CQI projects, standardize care, and train staff on SharePoint.
• Fiscal responsibilities: manage charge capture, Kronos approvals, and timely supply order approvals; ensure accurate billing.
• Continuing education: participate in ARRT-required training and development.
• Clinical operations: supervise radiation therapists, ensure treatment delivery quality, and coordinate scheduling and rotations.
