Job summary

The Henry L. Stimson Center in Washington, DC, seeks a Senior Fellow and Director for the North Africa, Mediterranean and the Sahel program. This in-office role requires leadership, fundraising, and the ability to shape a coherent program integrating political, economic, and security insights across the region.

The Director will develop a strategic vision, manage staff and budgets, represent the program publicly, and drive policy engagement and donor relations to build a sustainable funding base.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in related field with 10 years of experience, or PhD with 7 years of experience.
• Experience in program management, fundraising, and policy analysis.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic vision and program priorities for the North Africa, Mediterranean and Sahel program.
• Conceptualize and implement research, advocacy, and policy-engagement projects.
• Develop and sustain relations with governments, international organizations, industry, academia, and philanthropy.
• Represent the program in domestic and international forums and media engagements.
• Identify and cultivate funding opportunities; lead proposals and donor relations.
