Job summary

United Utility Services seeks a high-impact VP of Procurement to standardize procurement practices across its operating units and optimize costs on major transmission, distribution, and substation projects.

You will negotiate master service agreements, align payment terms with customers, and partner with Finance, Legal, and Operations to improve working capital while ensuring safety and compliance across vendor programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, or business.
• 10+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supplier management.
• Experience leading procurement across multiple business units or operating companies.
• Experience negotiating master service agreements, project-specific agreements, and payment terms.
• Proven success delivering cost savings across field services, materials, and subcontracted services.
• Strong negotiation, commercial, and contract-management skills.
• Certifications such as CIPS, CPM, or PMP are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a coordinated procurement strategy across United Utility Services and its operating business units.
• Aggregate and analyze organizational spend to identify common suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
• Lead sourcing for transmission, distribution, substation materials and high-spend subcontracted services.
• Negotiate master service agreements, pricing schedules, and payment terms.
• Monitor supplier pricing, capacity, quality, safety, and compliance with contracts.
• Coordinate with Finance, Treasury, Legal, and Operations to align terms and improve working capital.
• Oversee vendor prequalification, onboarding, and documentation.
• Track spend, negotiated savings, and supplier performance for senior leadership.
