Chief Platform Architect role at Wipro.
Key Responsibilities
- Define multi‑cloud architecture standards and reference architectures for aviation workloads on AWS and Azure, including containerized (Kubernetes, Docker) and hybrid deployments.
- Drive platform modernization roadmaps, migrating legacy systems to cloud‑native architectures.
- Implement zero‑trust architecture, identity‑based access controls, encryption strategies, and enforce compliance with FAA/EASA safety standards, GDPR, and enterprise security policies.
- Participate in Architecture Review Boards (ARB) and enforce governance across aviation programs.
- Design high‑availability, disaster recovery, and multi‑region fail‑over strategies; optimize cost and performance baselines for large‑scale aviation operations.
- Define CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices; implement infrastructure as code using Terraform, ARM templates, and Crossplane.
- Work closely with application architects, security teams, and business stakeholders; mentor platform engineering teams and lead architectural discussions for aviation modernization.
Skills Required
- Cloud platforms: AWS and Azure.
- Domain knowledge in aviation platforms (TOPS, CROAMIS, Crew Management) and FAA/EASA compliance and safety standards.
- Experience: >10 years.
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $100,000 to $200,000, depending on location, role, and experience. The role is eligible for Wipro's standard benefits, including medical and dental options, disability insurance, paid time off, and other leave options.
