Job summary

The Trevor Project seeks a Chief People Officer to guide a remote-first people strategy across the organization. You will partner with the CEO and executive leadership to design an inclusive, high-accountability people infrastructure and align workforce planning with strategic goals.

In this role, you will lead a distributed team, manage labor relations and DEI initiatives, and ensure compliance and effective HR operations across the U.S.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of progressive People/HR experience.
• At least 5 years in an executive-level leadership role.
• Direct experience with labor relations and union environments.
• Ability to balance strategy with hands-on operational work.

• Set the vision for a modern remote people and culture strategy aligned with multi-year goals.
• Advise CEO and executives on organizational design, change management, and leadership development.
