Job summary

University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, OH seeks a nationally respected, board-certified pediatric surgeon to serve as Surgeon-in-Chief. This senior physician executive will drive strategic growth and integration of pediatric surgical services across inpatient and ambulatory settings.

The role includes clinical and administrative responsibilities, quality and safety oversight, and an academic appointment through Case Western Reserve University.

Qualifications

• Must hold MD, DO, or MD-PhD and be board-certified in a pediatric surgical subspecialty.
• Eligible for Ohio medical licensure.
• Qualified for an academic appointment at Case Western Reserve University.
• Experience leading pediatric surgical services in an academic health system.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for pediatric surgical and perioperative services across inpatient and ambulatory settings.
• Oversee quality, safety, faculty leadership, and program growth; manage resources and recruitment.
• Collaborate with hospital/system leadership and academic partners to advance clinical and translational research.
