Job description

We are Snooze, the OG brunch leaders who have never stopped flipping the script on breakfast, powered by culinary creativity, unmatched hospitality, and a passion for our communities.

Joining Snooze means joining a team that disrupts the ordinary. Our menu is built on responsibly sourced ingredients—cage-free eggs, respect for animal welfare, and no added hormones or antibiotics—and bold ideas that energize Snoozers and Guests alike. Our impact goes beyond the plate, we’ve invested over $1M into local communities and created inclusive, vibrant spaces for the neighborhoods we serve.

We know that, just like pancakes, our people are better with passion, purpose, and pride. Here, you’ll find more than a job. You’ll find a place to fuel your future, be celebrated for who you are, and help us make mornings brighter, bolder, and better for everyone.

Will you join us?
What does your role bring to the table?

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is the most senior leader accountable for what happens inside the four walls of every Snooze location. This is not a coordination role or a systems oversight position. The COO is the champion of the restaurant experience, the architect of the GM pipeline, and the driving force behind operational excellence across every market.

This role sits on the senior leadership team and reports directly to the CEO. It exists because Snooze believes that the restaurant, not the back office, is where brand value is created, sustained, and grown.

Snooze has spent 20 years building something rare: a brand with genuine energy, a culture people are proud to be part of, and a guest experience that stands apart. The Chief Operating Officer is the executive who owns that experience from the inside out — the field, the operators, the people, and the standards that make every shift matter.

The Position Specifics

Taking on the role of COO isn’t just about bacon and pancakes. The responsibilities of this position include:

Restaurant Operations and Field Performance
  • Full accountability for multi-unit restaurant performance across all markets and divisions
  • Ownership of same-store sales, traffic, guest satisfaction, and labor performance at the field level
  • Partnership with Regional Directors and Regional Managers to drive consistent execution
  • Lead the cadence of field visits, performance reviews, and market-level strategic planning
Guest Experience and Brand Standards
  • Set, protect, and evolve the standard for what a great Snooze experience looks and feels like
  • Ensure hospitality, energy, and brand identity are alive in every location, every shift
  • Use guest feedback, sentiment data, and field observation to continuously raise the bar
  • Partner with Marketing and Culinary on experience-level execution of brand initiatives
GM and Field Leadership Development
  • Own the General Manager pipeline as a strategic priority, not a staffing function
  • Build and maintain a bench of operators ready to step into GM and above-restaurant leadership roles
  • Champion a clear, visible career path from manager to GM to Regional Manager
  • Ensure GMs are developed as owner-operators, not just unit administrators
  • Create the conditions that attract, retain, and grow the best restaurant talent in the industry
New Restaurant Openings and Market Growth
  • Partner with Development on market planning and site-level operational requirements
Is this role the right fit for you?

Leadership at Snooze is visible, specific, and personal. The COO is not a leader who manages from a distance or communicates through systems. This person is in the field, with the team, setting the tone.

  • You hold the field to a high standard and model that standard yourself
  • You develop people relentlessly and see GM growth as one of your most important outputs
  • You communicate with clarity, directness, and care, especially when the message is hard
  • You understand that culture is built in small moments, not big announcements
  • You connect the dots between what happens on shift and what the brand stands for
What Success Looks like:
First 90 Days:
  • Deep fluency in the current state of field performance, GM health, and guest sentiment across all markets
  • Trusted relationships with Regional Directors, Regional Managers, and key restaurant leaders
  • A clear point of view on where Snooze is winning and where the biggest opportunities are
First Year:
  • Measurable improvement in GM retention and above-restaurant leadership pipeline strength
  • Consistent guest experience scores trending in the right direction across markets
  • New restaurant openings executing at a higher level of readiness and ramp performance
  • A field team that is more aligned, more motivated, and clearer on what great looks like
Let's Talk Prerequisits! (Education, Credentials, and Experience)
  • Significant multi-unit restaurant operations leadership, ideally at a brand with strong culture and 50+ locations
  • Proven track record developing GM-level and above-restaurant talent
  • Deep understanding of the guest experience, service culture, and what makes hospitality-forward brands work
  • Strong financial acumen at the restaurant and portfolio level, including P&L ownership and labor management
  • Experience leading field organizations through growth, change, and operational refinement
  • A reputation in the industry as someone who builds people up and leaves organizations stronger than they found them
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
The Beffie-Fits
  • Competitive Annual Bonus Program
  • Snooze equity program eligibility immediately upon hire or after one year in role
  • Competitive Health, Dental, Vision, Pet and Accident Insurance Plans with employer contribution
  • Employer Paid Short Term Disability and Life insurance benefits
  • 401k/Roth 401k Plans
  • Snooze Work Hard, Play Hard Days (Unlimited Time off Program)
  • Five (5) paid sick days within a calendar year (up to 48 hours)
  • Paid Holidays (RSC Holiday Schedule), Birthday and Snooze Anniversary Date
  • Snooze Cell Phone Reimbursement
  • Snooze Meal Benefits
  • Other benefits including field trips, community engagement, and personal and professional growth

Denver area base salary starting at $300,000 Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel.
