JOB SUMMARY

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) serves as a key member of the executive leadership team and is responsible for driving operational excellence, strategic execution, and organizational performance across the Management Services Organization (MSO). Based within the corporate office, the COO serves as a strategic partner to Division CEOs and operational leaders, ensuring consistent execution of business objectives, operational standards, growth initiatives, and financial performance across the organization.

Serving as a primary strategic partner to Division CEOs, practice leaders, and executive leadership, the COO balances enterprise standardization with local market flexibility. This leader will optimize practice productivity, expand ancillary service lines (MRI, PT, ASCs), streamline patient throughput, and build the operational infrastructure necessary to support rapid organic and M&A growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Enterprise Operations & Scalability
  • Establish and govern standardized operational processes, clinical workflows, and performance scorecards across all 8 operating divisions.
  • Optimize practice capacity, scheduling utilization, room turnover, and patient flow across multi-site clinical facilities.
  • Evaluate and optimize performance across ancillary service lines (Imaging/MRI, Physical/Occupational Therapy, Durable Medical Equipment, and ASC operational alignment).
  • Drive cross-divisional integration, ensuring seamless operational onboarding of newly acquired practices and provider groups.
Strategic & Financial Leadership
  • Partner with the CEO, CFO, and Division CEOs to hit enterprise EBITDA, revenue ($450M+), and margin targets.
  • Drive provider productivity metrics (wRVUs, patient volume, clinic capacity) in close collaboration with clinical and divisional leaders.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and Managed Care leadership to ensure clinical documentation, front-end intake, and billing operations are tightly aligned to maximize collections.
  • Oversee capital allocation and operational budgeting across all divisions, driving cost efficiencies and labor model optimization without sacrificing patient care quality.
  • Build deep, trust-based relationships with physician leaders, division heads, and medical directors across all regions.
  • Serve as the core executive bridge between corporate MSO governance and division-level physician leadership.
  • Support physician recruitment, onboarding, provider retention, and productivity ramp schedules in partnership with clinical recruiters and local practice leadership.
Technology, Analytics & Compliance
  • Leverage enterprise EMR, Practice Management (PM), and Business Intelligence (BI) platforms to deliver real-time operational analytics and actionable leadership dashboards.
  • Ensure strict operational compliance with Florida healthcare regulations (AHCA, FL Department of Health), HIPAA, OSHA, and federal risk management guidelines.
  • Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction (NPS), clinical safety, and risk mitigation across all 22 Florida counties.
Talent Development & Culture
  • Build, mentor, and hold accountable a high-performing team of Regional Directors, VP of Operations, and Practice Administrators.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, operational discipline, physician engagement, and patient-first service across 2,100+ team members.
Leadership & Culture
  • Build, develop, and mentor high-performing operational leadership teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner to Division CEOs and operational leaders.
  • Promote organizational values and reinforce a high-performance culture across all levels of the organization.
Key Performance Indicators (First 12-18 Months)
  • Divisional Integration: Standardize core operational KPIs and reporting structures across all 8 divisions within 180 days.
  • Ancillary Growth: Increase utilization and margin efficiency across physical therapy, imaging, and surgical ancillary streams.
  • Capacity & Throughput: Improve patient access, reduce scheduling backlog, and optimize provider clinic utilization by .
  • Labor & Cost Optimization: Right-size staffing ratios per provider across clinics while maintaining high employee retention across 2,100 FTEs.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • 15+ years of progressive healthcare operations leadership experience.
  • Significant executive-level experience within a healthcare services organization, MSO, physician practice management organization, ambulatory care platform, or multi-site healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale operational transformations and growth initiatives.
  • Experience partnering with executive leadership, physician leaders, and multi-market operational teams.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Preferred: Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Healthcare Administration (MHA), or related field.
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Management, Business, or Clinical Discipline.
