Job description

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead Twintec Kalman’s operations in the USA.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a senior leadership position responsible for translating business strategy into operational excellence, driving sustainable growth and profitability, and ensuring the business has the right people, processes, systems and performance standards in place to succeed.

The ideal candidate will combine strong operational and commercial leadership with the ability to manage business performance, identify market opportunities and build an effective, accountable organisation.

This role is based in the USA, and applicants must currently reside in the United States. Preference will be given to candidates already located in, or willing to relocate to, the Charlotte, North Carolina area.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate company strategy and objectives into clear operational plans
• Lead the day-to-day management and overall performance of the US entity
• Drive sustainable growth, profitability and operational efficiency
• Prepare and manage business plans and budgets in line with Group objectives
• Ensure appropriate organisational structures, people, processes and systems are in place
• Monitor business performance and ensure accurate and timely reporting to the Group
• Identify market opportunities, operational risks and initiatives to strengthen business performance
• Ensure compliance with applicable local legal, social, environmental and safety requirements
• Implement strategic decisions and policies established by Group management
• Define operational goals and continually improve business practices and performance

Experience & Qualifications

• Proven experience in a COO, General Manager, Managing Director or similar senior leadership position
• Strong commercial and operational management experience
• Demonstrated experience managing budgets, profitability and overall business performance
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to translate strategic objectives into practical operational plans
• Strong understanding of risk management, compliance and corporate governance
• Experience within construction, engineering, industrial flooring or a related specialist sector would be highly advantageous
• Strong communication, decision-making and stakeholder management skills
