The ideal candidate will bring 15+ years in metal fabrication, a strong track record in P&L management, and expertise in lean, automation, and data-driven decision making, with willingness to travel between sites.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in metal fabrication or closely related industrial manufacturing.
• 5+ years leading multiple sites with P&L responsibility.
• Proven track record improving safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and profitability.
• Strong lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
• Financial and business acumen with budgeting, costing, and capital investment.
• Experience leveraging automation, data, technology, or AI to improve performance.
• Experience in investor-backed/private-equity environments and/or acquisition integration is preferred.
• Strong leadership presence from shop floor to executive level.
• Willingness to travel between locations.

About the Opportunity

A growing, privately-held manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead its multi-site manufacturing operations and help drive the next phase of growth.

This is a highly visible leadership position responsible for translating business strategy into disciplined operating execution across multiple manufacturing locations. The COO will partner closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to improve operational performance, strengthen accountability, expand margins, and build an organization capable of supporting continued organic growth and acquisitions.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, multi-site manufacturing leader with a strong background in metal stamping, fabrication, forming, welding, or related manufacturing processes.

What We're Looking For

• 15+ years of experience in metal fabrication, metal stamping, metal manufacturing or a closely related industrial manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of multi-site leadership experience, with responsibility for a multi-site P&L.
• Demonstrated success improving safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and profitability.
• Strong lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
• Strong financial and business acumen, including plant P&Ls, budgeting, costing, and capital investment.
• Experience leveraging automation, data, technology, or AI to improve manufacturing performance.
• Experience in an investor-backed or private-equity environment and/or acquisition integration is strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to work effectively from the shop floor through the executive level.
• Willingness to travel regularly between manufacturing locations.
