Job description

About Endurance

Endurance is building the world’s first modular subsea geothermal power plants, converting vast thermal resources under the ocean into gigawatts of baseload power. Backed by Founders Fund, Felicis, First Round Capital, and Point72 Ventures, our founding team includes veterans from SpaceX, Helion, Blue Origin, and Apple. We have completed multiple deep‑ocean deployments to subsea volcanoes and are launching a long‑term demonstration project this fall. By leveraging modular design, manufacturing scale, efficient drilling, and latent cooling on the seafloor, we are pioneering a new category of energy that outperforms traditional sources on environmental impact, deployment speed, and cost.

What you’ll be doing

As we grow, our CEO needs a true partner to drive and facilitate business priorities forward. The Chief of Staff will serve as the CEO’s right hand owning executive support and cross‑functional execution, supporting internal and external communications, and keep the office running smoothly behind the scenes. This is a hands‑on, high‑trust role for someone who can run a leadership project in the morning, manage a CEO’s calendar at midday, and draft a product announcement in the afternoon.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted partner and advisor to the CEO by keeping a running view of company priorities and surface blockers, dependencies, and trade‑offs to the CEO early and often
  • Coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, and business operations teams to keep the company’s key initiatives and cross‑functional projects, tracking scope, owners, timelines, risks, and driving them to completion
  • Track action items and decisions across leadership and follow up until they’re closed
  • Prepare briefing materials, agendas, and follow‑ups for key meetings, and represent the CEO in meetings when needed
  • Manage the CEO’s calendar, travel, and expenses
  • Draft and edit executive communications, including emails, blog posts, talking points, and presentation support
  • Support office operations with Technical and Business Operation teams
  • Qualifications
  • 5 years in a chief‑of‑staff, program/project management, operations, executive assistance, marketing, or communications role
  • Demonstrated track record running projects with multiple contributors to a hard external deadline, including work you did not personally control
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a portfolio or samples to show
  • Strong organization and the ability to juggle competing priorities with a strong bias towards action and high ownership mindset
  • Sound judgment and discretion with sensitive information
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity, incomplete data and operate independently with minimal structure in a fast paced environment
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, Slack, and standard productivity tools
Preferred Skills
  • Experience at a startup or rapidly growing company
  • Previous experience with project management tools
Compensation, Benefits, & Perks

As a pre‑revenue startup, Endurance Energy offers competitive base salaries and generous equity packages for full‑time employees. Final base salary will be determined by an array of factors including internal equity, job‑related knowledge, skills, and work experience.

A key aspect of our compensation philosophy is that value creation should be aligned with rewards. Right now this means equity is a significant portion of every full‑time employee’s compensation. As the company matures, there will be continued evolution and changes to the total rewards and total compensation package. What will always be true is that if we win, we win together. Equity is granted to every full‑time employee as a meaningful piece of ownership. We believe the people building the company should share directly in the value they create.

In addition to a competitive base salary and equity, employees will receive all of our other great benefits and perks, including:

  • Benefits: Health, Dental, and Vision insurance coverage
  • Time Away:Flexible PTO including 12 paid company holidays
