Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Chief of Staff to the CHRO to amplify the People organization's priorities, manage the operating rhythm, and drive high-impact initiatives from concept to execution. You will synthesize complex topics into executive-ready narratives, coordinate cross-functional efforts, and represent the CHRO across the company to ensure alignment with People team goals.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in management consulting, business operations, strategy, or Chief of Staff to senior executives.
• Proven ability to translate ambiguity into executive-ready recommendations and narratives.
• Track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and aligning multiple workstreams.
• Knowledge of crypto or willingness to immerse yourself in the space.

Responsibilities

• Own the CHRO's operating cadence, managing leadership meetings, agendas, decisions, and follow-ups.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives on behalf of the CHRO and stand in for key meetings.
• Develop compelling content and narratives for decks, emails, social posts, and speaking materials.
• Identify and resolve issues early, translating ambiguity into clear exec recommendations.
• Represent the CHRO's interests and align People priorities across the organization.

As Chief of Staff to the CHRO, you'll serve as a force multiplier for the People organization's most senior leader, ensuring priorities are advanced, time is focused on the highest-impact areas, and voice is amplified internally and externally. You'll own the operating rhythm for the People leadership team and lead critical initiatives from conception through execution, proactively resolving problems before they reach the CHRO.

What you'll do:

• Own the CHRO's operating cadence by managing weekly and quarterly leadership meetings, setting clear agendas, driving decisions, and ensuring follow-ups are completed.
• Lead critical cross-functional initiatives and engagements on behalf of the CHRO, acting as her stand-in when needed in key meetings and decisions.
• Develop compelling content and narratives including meeting decks, org-wide emails, social media posts, and speaking engagement materials that amplify the CHRO's voice.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues before they accelerate, synthesizing ambiguity into clear recommendations for executive decision-making.
• Represent the CHRO's interests and point of view across the organization, ensuring alignment and advancing People team priorities with cross-functional stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 7+ years of experience, including management consulting, business operations, strategy, or a chief of staff capacity supporting senior executives.
• Proven ability to synthesize ambiguous, complex topics into clear executive-ready recommendations, narratives, and communications across formats (decks, emails, social content).
• Track record of driving cross-functional initiatives end-to-end, managing multiple workstreams simultaneously with clear accountability and follow-through.
• Knowledge of crypto or demonstrated enthusiasm for the space with willingness to immerse yourself in the ecosystem.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Pay Transparency Notice: Base salary varies by location (see range below). Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)).

Annual base salary range (excluding equity and bonus):: $212,330 USD - $249,800 USD
