Job summary

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities contributing to a positive work environment.

The Ridge Behavioral Health System is a 110-bed hospital located in the heart of the Bluegrass in Lexington, KY. The Ridge provides comprehensive psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. The Ridge offers Inpatient, Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Programs, Individual Counseling, as well as Medication Management for all ages. We are proud to be a teaching facility and have provided behavioral health services to over 92 Kentucky counties for close to 40 years!

About The Opportunity:

The Chief Nursing Officer will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team who will integrate and coordinate a patient centric nursing strategy with a keen focus on patient care; ensuring that delivery of high-quality and cost-effective health care is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements. The CNO will participate in the hospital’s strategic planning and contributes to the achievement of institutional goals and objectives.

Qualifications
Job Requirements:
  • Licensure: Current license to practice professional nursing in KY.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE accredited nursing program required; Master of Science in Nursing strongly preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years nursing and supervisory/administrative experience.
  • Must be familiar with The Joint Commission and other regulatory parties.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices and management.
  • Ability to plan, direct, and monitor others’ activities with demonstrated leadership abilities that contribute to a positive work environment.
