Job description

Step into a career-defining Chief Nursing Officer opportunity and lead an inspired nursing team where exceptional care, meaningful community impact, and executive influence come together!

The Chief Nursing Officer will join a mission-driven, patient-first healthcare organization known for compassionate service, strong clinical standards, and personalized care. This respected hospital offers nursing leaders the opportunity to shape evidence-based practice, strengthen quality and patient-safety initiatives, enhance workforce wellbeing, and advance measurable clinical outcomes. With accessible executive leadership, close interdisciplinary collaboration, and visible community support, the Chief Nursing Officer can make a lasting impact while helping guide strategic growth and care delivery.

Within Nursing Administration, the Chief Nursing Officer will provide executive oversight for a critical access hospital dedicated to community-focused care. This influential nursing executive will advance professional practice, clinical education, shared decision-making, quality improvement, regulatory readiness, staffing effectiveness, and patient experience across hospital departments. The close-knit care environment allows the Chief Nursing Officer to remain connected to frontline teams while developing responsive strategies that meet the evolving needs of patients and the surrounding rural communities.

Reporting to the hospital’s senior executive leader, the Chief Nursing Officer will receive support from an engaged leadership team and collaborate closely with physicians, department directors, clinical managers, and operational partners. Responsibilities include nursing strategy, workforce planning, budget oversight, policy development, performance improvement, patient safety, infection prevention, compliance, and staff engagement. Friendly nurses and a diverse team of healthcare professionals create a collegial environment where the Chief Nursing Officer can build trust, mentor emerging leaders, and foster accountability, inclusion, and clinical excellence.

The Chief Nursing Officer will enjoy living and working in Creek County, Oklahoma, an inviting region that blends small-town warmth with convenient access to larger metropolitan amenities. Residents appreciate attainable housing, a manageable cost of living, light commutes, family-friendly neighborhoods, local schools, parks, lakes, and abundant opportunities for fishing, hiking, boating, and outdoor recreation. Community festivals, local dining, regional sports, live music, and nearby cultural attractions create an engaging lifestyle, while access to Tulsa-area shopping, higher education, healthcare services, employment opportunities, and air travel adds everyday convenience without sacrificing privacy or open space.

The Chief Nursing Officer will receive competitive executive compensation and a full suite of health and retirement benefits designed to support long-term professional and personal wellbeing.
