Job summary

The Cincinnati VA Medical Center, part of the Veterans Health Administration, seeks a Physician- Neurology Chief to provide clinical leadership and strategic direction for neurology services. This role oversees outpatient and inpatient care, education, and program development within the Neurology division.

Responsibilities include supervising residents/fellows, ensuring high-quality patient care, and guiding clinical operations in alignment with VHA policies and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an approved school and required credentials.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in a US state or territory.
• ABPN neurology board certification or eligibility.
• Demonstrated leadership/management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for the Neurology division at Cincinnati VA Medical Center.
• Lead clinical operations, education, and program development for neurology services.
• Supervise residents and fellows and oversee teaching activities.
• Ensure compliance with VA Handbooks, directives, and accreditation standards.
• Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
• Coordinate with administrative staff to optimize access and care delivery.
