Job summary

Shipworker.com is seeking a Mate of Towing with wire work experience to support the Captain in safe, efficient operations of the tug and towing tasks. You will oversee towing activities, deck duties, and vessel handling on a day-to-day basis.

You will stand navigational watch, conduct docking and undocking maneuvers, and ensure strict adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Training, drills, and audits will be part of ongoing crew development.

Qualifications

• Mate of Towing requires 200T Near Coastal Endorsement.
• Valid Medical Certificate is required.
• Valid TWIC Card is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee towing operations, deck activities, and vessel handling with the Captain.
• Stand navigational watch and perform docking and undocking maneuvers.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in training, drills, audits, and support crew performance.

Mates of Towing - Wire Work Experience.

Responsibilities

Mate will assist the Captain in the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the tug, overseeing towing operations, deck activities, and vessel handling. Stands navigational watch, conducts docking and undocking maneuvers, and ensures adherence to all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Participates in training, drills, and audits while supporting overall crew performance and completing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Mate of Towing – Minimum 200T Near Coastal Endorsement
• Valid Medical Certificate
• Valid TWIC Card

Experience

Experience as Mate on wire tugboats, towing astern required. Mud scow towing experience preferred.

Pay

$650-$750 / day DOE and Company

Schedule

Equal time and 2/1 schedules Available
