Job summary

Fenwick & West is seeking a Director of Legal Recruiting to lead attorney recruitment across the firm, overseeing lateral associates, counsel, entry‑level attorneys, clerks and summer associates. The role partners with Hiring Partners and Practice Management, driving strategy, internal relationships and candidate experience.

• Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of attorney recruiting experience.
• Master's degree or J.D. preferred.
• Experience managing recruiting programs and teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee firmwide attorney recruiting, including lateral hires and summer program.
• Partner with Hiring Partners and Practice Management to align hiring criteria.
• Develop relationships with search firms and recruiters; manage agreements.
• Leverage AI recruiting tools to surface market intel and streamline processes.
• Lead strategic decision-making and develop scalable recruiting structures.
• Support attorney integration and ensure cohesive onboarding.
