UW Health seeks a visionary, collaborative, and strategically minded legal executive to serve as its next Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer (CLO). Reporting directly to Alan Kaplan, MD, Chief Executive Officer, the CLO will serve as a key strategic advisor to the CEO, Board of Directors, executive leadership team, and physician leaders. The successful candidate will oversee all legal affairs across the enterprise and play an important role in supporting strategic growth, governance, risk management, labor and employment matters, physician enterprise operations, and organizational partnerships.

As UW Health continues to evolve, the CLO will help position the organization for future success by balancing innovation, growth, and risk management while navigating an increasingly complex healthcare and regulatory landscape. This leader will also have the opportunity to further strengthen an experienced legal team and enhance its role as a proactive business partner across the enterprise.

The ideal candidate will bring significant legal leadership experience within a complex healthcare organization, exceptional judgment, and strong relationship-building skills. Experience supporting hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers, or integrated delivery systems is strongly preferred, along with deep expertise in healthcare law, transactions, contracting, physician alignment, and litigation.
