ADP, Inc. is seeking a Chief Inspector reporting to the Director of Quality and Safety to oversee the inspection department and ensure compliance with FAA/EASA regulations and OEM MPDs, delivering high quality, safe re-delivery of aircraft.

The role requires leading inspectors, coordinating with project managers, maintaining thorough documentation, and enforcing safety, housekeeping, and timely execution of work in accordance with Repair Station Manual.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required with management-related undergraduate degree preferred.
  • Strong leadership experience in aviation maintenance or inspection roles.
  • Solid knowledge of FAA regulations and Repair Station requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure highest quality service, safety standards and performance to exceed customer satisfaction in re-delivery of aircraft.
  • Direct and supervise inspection activities including Aircraft Mechanics, Sheet Metal Mechanics, Avionic Technicians.
  • Provide leadership, coach inspectors to deliver excellence and maintain safety.
  • Ensure work schedules align with project plans and timelines for each aircraft.
  • Follow Repair Station Manual and FAA regulations; ensure current approved data is used.
  • Verify tools availability and coordinate with Stores for provisioning.
  • Maintain safety and housekeeping in hangar to prevent accidents.

Job description

Reporting to the Director of Quality and Safety,the Chief Inspector is directly responsible for the overall operation of theinspection department and is responsible for overseeing, directing andorienting Inspectors to execute their work in accordance to task requirementsand in line with the Company Repair Station procedures and requirements,ensuring compliance to FAA/EASA regulations and in line with OEM MPDs, and inso doing delivering efficient high quality work with safety being theiruncompromised priority.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensurethe highest quality service, safety standards and performance, with the objectiveof exceeding customer satisfaction in the re-delivery of airworthy, reliableand clean aircraft, in a timely manner.

Directand supervise inspection activities including (Aircraft Mechanics, Sheet MetalMechanics, Avionic Technicians, Outside Services personnel), guiding andadvising technical activity in accordance with the Task Card/MPD, RepairStation Manual and FAA regulations.

Provideleadership and direction, coach and mentor inspectors to consistently deliverexcellence in their job execution as individuals and team players, ensuringhigh quality and efficient workmanship for on-time re-delivery of aircraft.

Securecommitment and accountability at all levels in execution of both work andaccurate supporting documentation.

Ensurework schedule is in line with established project plan for each aircraft to beserviced in accordance with the Workscope and respective timeline.

Workclosely with Inspectors in order to prevent time wastage due to unnecessarydelays, interruptions and duplicate work.

Becomefamiliar with and follow the requirements of this Repair Station Manual,Federal Aviation Regulations, Airworthiness Directives, Advisory Circulars,Manufacturer’s Service Bulletins, Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), AircraftIllustrated Parts Catalog (IPC), Structural Repair Manual (SRM), and any otherrequired to perform their assigned work. Never allow any maintenance unless inpossession of the proper, current and applicable approved or acceptable data.

Verifythat tools required by inspectors is available and if not to work with Storesto provision them prior to commencing the tasks.

Overseeto ensure the work area and hangar is kept to the highest standards of safety,compliant at all times, enforcing regulations and practices to avoid accidents.Strictly enforce good housekeeping practices at all times with an objective ofsecuring an environment conducive to employee well-being.

Reportany incident immediately to Director Quality & Safety in accordance withCompany policies and procedures. Scrutinize the proper tagging of Aircraftcomponents, parts and panels appropriately stored (including racks byaircraft).

Demandand accomplish document procedures and sign-offs in accordance with RepairStation Manual and respective tasks.

Strivefor continuous process improvements and increasing efficiencies in executionand delivery with safety as a priority.

Maintainclose and frequent communication with the Project Manager, notifying him/her ofprogress and any road-blocks or threats to the project’s critical path thatcould impact re-delivery.

Reviewdaily performance and progress on aircraft to determine if any alteration tothe plan and schedule is necessary and to ensure that tasks are completedwithin budgeted time.

Collaboratewith the Director of Quality and Safety and the Training department toestablish On-The-Job Training Programs (OJT) for maintenance personnel andcoordinate participation in training programs as appropriate. Participate inrelevant development training including General Familiarization Certification.

Requestregular progress meetings with Project Manager and all relevant departmentheads and personnel concerning operational requirements and activities, clearlyestablishing objectives and actions.

Dealwith Customers in a cordial, respectful and professional manner, and to see toit that all personnel behave accordingly.

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma/GED. Undergraduate degreein Management or equivalent preferred.

Holdsa current FAA certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.

Minimum of 10 years aviation maintenance experiencerequired with leadership progression in operations or quality functions.

Experience on current airframes in work at therepair station is preferred. Strong leadership skills.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to includeWord, Excel, PowerPoint and Quick Aviation.

Excellent written and oral communication skills inorder to effectively interact with all levels of staff from differentdepartments effectively.

Excellentorganizational and problem-solving skills in order to prioritize workloadaccording to business demands.

Isrequired to be proficient in oral and written English.
