Job summary

BVNK is building a security-first fintech infrastructure. BVNK's Singapore team seeks a Chief Information Security Officer to establish the information security function from the ground up, reporting to the Singapore CEO and Global CISO.

You will set governance, controls, and regulatory alignment for MAS requirements and scale security as the business grows. In this highly visible role, you will lead strategy, build the team, partner with product and engineering, and oversee risk management,

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the information security strategy and programme for BVNK's Singapore business.
• Build the Singapore security function from the ground up, establishing governance, policies and controls for a regulated financial services business.
• Act as the senior point of accountability for information and cyber security in Singapore, reporting to the Singapore CEO and Global CISO.
• Ensure BVNK's Singapore operations meet MAS technology risk, cyber security and operational resilience requirements.
• Establish and maintain an information security risk management framework with escalation for material risks.
• Collaborate with Global Security to align local with global standards and controls.
• Lead security capabilities including monitoring, IAM, vulnerability management, incident response, third-party security risk, data security and operational resilience.
• Oversee incident preparedness and regulatory engagement with regulators and stakeholders.
• Partner with Product, Engineering and Technology to embed security from design to delivery.
• Manage security aspects of regulatory applications, examinations, audits, and assessments.

About this role in the team:

We're looking for a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Singapore to establish and lead BVNK's information security function in Singapore.

As our first dedicated security hire in Singapore, you'll have the opportunity to build the local security function from the ground up. You'll hold senior accountability for information security across our Singapore business, establishing the governance, frameworks, controls and capabilities required to operate securely, meet our regulatory obligations and support the business as it scales.

You'll report to our Singapore CEO, with a functional reporting line into our Global Chief Information Security Officer. You'll work closely with both local leadership and BVNK's global Security organisation, ensuring our Singapore security programme meets local regulatory requirements while remaining closely aligned with BVNK's global security strategy, standards and controls.

This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role. You'll set the security strategy for Singapore, build the foundations required to deliver it and act as a trusted partner to our local leadership team, regulators and global stakeholders.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

• Own and lead the information security strategy and programme for BVNK's Singapore business.
• Build the Singapore security function from the ground up, establishing the governance, policies, standards, controls and processes required to support a regulated financial services business.
• Act as the senior point of accountability for information and cyber security in Singapore, providing clear oversight and reporting to the Singapore CEO and relevant governance forums.
• Ensure BVNK's Singapore operations meet applicable MAS technology risk, cyber security and operational resilience requirements.
• Establish and maintain an effective information security risk management framework, ensuring material security risks are identified, assessed, managed and appropriately escalated.
• Work closely with the Global CISO and wider global Security organisation to implement BVNK's global security standards while identifying and addressing Singapore-specific requirements.
• Establish and oversee core security capabilities including security monitoring, identity and access management, vulnerability management, incident response, third-party security risk, data security and operational resilience.
• Lead Singapore's security incident preparedness and response, including appropriate escalation, crisis management and regulatory engagement.
• Partner with Product, Engineering and Technology teams to ensure security is embedded into new products, systems and infrastructure from the outset.
• Lead information security aspects of regulatory applications, examinations, audits and assessments, working closely with Risk, Compliance, Legal and Technology.
• Establish appropriate security governance, metrics and reporting, providing the Singapore leadership team with clear visibility of the organisation's security posture and key risks.
• Oversee information security risks associated with third parties and critical technology service providers.
• Build security awareness and accountability across the Singapore organisation, ensuring colleagues understand their responsibilities in protecting BVNK and our customers.
• Define the future structure, capabilities and resourcing requirements of the Singapore security function as the business grows.
• Represent BVNK's Singapore security function with regulators, auditors, partners and other external stakeholders where required.
