Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Registered Nurse IV Chief Health Informatics Officer (CHIO) to provide leadership across populations and integrated programs, leveraging health informatics and IT to support Veteran care.

The CHIO will serve as a senior advisor to the Medical Center Director and executive team, oversee informatics initiatives, and drive changes in care delivery through evidence-based practices and data analytics.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) and 4 years of professional nursing experience.
• Master's degree in a related field with a BSN and 4 years of nursing experience
• Doctoral degree in nursing with 3 years of nursing experience or related field with BSN and 3 years of nursing experience

Responsibilities

• Resident expert in HI and health information technology.
• Serve as the primary advisor to the Medical Center Director and other executive leadership.
• Lead informatics initiatives and oversee informatics areas across departments.
