Job summary

Accrue Partners is seeking a senior financial leader to join its cross-functional leadership team and shape long-term financial strategy and planning for a fast-moving, project-based environment across clients and brands.

The role oversees budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and month-end reporting, builds financial models, evaluates contracts, and partners with executives to drive profitability and growth.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of finance or accounting experience with at least 3 years in senior leadership.
• Strong project-based financial management experience including client profitability and revenue recognition concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the company’s financial strategy and drive core financial operations: budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and monthly/quarterly reporting.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and vendor payments; establish and maintain financial controls, policies, and procedures; lead the month-end close process and transition to an in-house finance function.
• Partner with executive leadership to evaluate business performance and inform decision-making on pricing, staffing, growth initiatives, and corporate transactions; provide updates on client/project profitability, margin drivers, cost structure, and utilization.

The client is seeking a senior financial leader to join its cross-functional leadership team and help shape long-term financial strategy and planning. The role supports a fast-moving, project-based operating environment focused on measurable outcomes, long-term partnerships, and programs that influence how consumers shop, connect, and experience brands.

Responsibilities include leading the development of the company's financial strategy and driving core financial operations such as budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and monthly and quarterly reporting. The role will oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and vendor payments; established and maintain financial controls, policies, and procedures; and lead the month-end close process while transitioning ownership to an efficient in-house finance function. The leader will partner with executive leadership to evaluate business performance and inform decision-making across areas such as pricing, staffing, growth initiatives, and corporate transactions, while providing financial updates and insights on client and project profitability, margin drivers, cost structure, and utilization. The successful candidate will lead financial planning, including annual budgets and rolling forecasts, and build and maintain financial models and scenario analysis to support hiring and growth. The role will strengthen visibility across the full revenue lifecycle, provide financial input on contracts and new business opportunities, and improve reporting clarity and consistency so leadership can track performance against goals. Qualifications include 10+ years of finance or accounting experience with at least 3 years in senior leadership, strong project-based financial management experience (including client profitability and revenue recognition concepts), and demonstrated hands-on leadership in dynamic environments; experience with agency or services/project-based settings is typically preferred.
