KLR Executive Search Group LLC is seeking a strategic Chief Financial Officer to lead finance across a diversified portfolio of operating businesses, investment entities, and real estate holdings. Reporting to ownership, the CFO will bring financial rigor, strategic insight, and hands-on leadership to a growing organization.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of progressive finance experience, prior CFO or senior finance leadership, and a strong track record in multi-entity environments, with CPA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA or advanced degree is a plus.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with leadership responsibility in multi-entity or diversified environments.
• Prior experience as CFO, VP of Finance, Controller, or similar senior finance leader, with strategic and hands-on capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a diversified portfolio of operating businesses, investment entities, and real estate holdings.
• Lead all finance and accounting operations across multiple legal entities with accurate reporting and cash management.
• Partner with ownership to support strategic decisions on investments, capital allocation, and growth.
• Oversee private lending portfolio, including loan performance monitoring, repayments, and risk management.
• Direct multi-entity accounting functions: GL, AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations, monthly close, and financial statements.
• Manage treasury operations, liquidity planning, debt service, intercompany transactions, cash flow forecasting, and capital planning.
• Build and strengthen financial infrastructure with internal controls, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and planning.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team and liaise with ownership, banks, lenders, and external advisors.

KLR Executive Search Group is proud to partner with a privately held, diversified organization is seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer to serve as the senior finance leader across a portfolio of operating businesses, investment entities, and real estate holdings. Reporting directly to ownership, this role offers the opportunity to bring structure, financial rigor, and strategic insight to a complex and growing organization.

The CFO will oversee all finance and accounting activities, provide leadership across multiple business segments, and serve as a trusted advisor on financial performance, investment opportunities, capital allocation, and risk management. This position is well-suited for an experienced CFO or a high-performing Controller ready to step into a broader executive leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior financial leader overseeing a diversified portfolio of operating businesses, investment entities, and real estate holdings.
• Lead all finance and accounting operations across multiple legal entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, cash management, and accounting compliance.
• Partner with ownership to support strategic decision-making involving investments, capital allocation, lending activity, operating performance, and growth initiatives.
• Oversee a private lending portfolio, including loan performance monitoring, repayment tracking, interest accruals, and portfolio risk management.
• Direct multi-entity accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, account reconciliations, monthly close, and financial statement preparation.
• Manage treasury operations, liquidity planning, debt service, intercompany transactions, cash flow forecasting, and capital planning across multiple entities.
• Build and strengthen financial infrastructure by enhancing internal controls, reporting processes, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning capabilities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while serving as the primary financial liaison to ownership, banking partners, lenders, external advisors, and other key stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. CPA or advanced degree is a plus.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including significant leadership responsibility in multi-entity or highly diversified environments.
• Prior experience as a CFO, Vice President of Finance, Controller, or similar senior finance leader, with the ability to operate both strategically and hands-on.
