Job description

*Only the most qualified candidates will be contacted

If you’re a financial leader who wants your work to mean something beyond the numbers, this is an opportunity worth exploring.

Our client is a growing, mission-driven organization that has undergone significant transformation over the past several years—expanding services, increasing revenue, and developing increasingly sophisticated healthcare reimbursement and funding streams. With continued growth on the horizon, they are looking for a hands‑on, strategic CFO who can help shape what comes next.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as a key member of the Executive and Leadership Teams, partnering closely with the CEO and other senior leaders.
  • Lead financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and long‑term financial sustainability efforts.
  • Provide leadership with meaningful financial analysis that supports growth and operational decision‑making.
  • Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, month‑end/year‑end close, cash management, internal controls, and compliance.
  • Provide financial oversight of a complex healthcare revenue cycle, including reimbursement, accounts receivable, collections, revenue recognition, and third‑party billing partners.
  • Lead annual operating and capital budgeting and provide ongoing variance and scenario analysis.
  • Prepare and communicate financial information to executive leadership, the Board, auditors, financial partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee nonprofit financial reporting requirements, audits, Form 990 preparation, grants, contracts, and restricted funding.
  • Lead and develop a small, experienced accounting and billing team.
  • Partner across the organization to improve processes, reporting, systems, and financial visibility as the organization continues to grow.
What They’re Looking For
  • 8+ years of progressive financial management experience.
  • Strong healthcare finance experience highly preferred.
  • Experience working with complex revenue and reimbursement streams.
  • Nonprofit accounting and revenue recognition experience is a significant plus.
  • Experience overseeing or partnering with revenue cycle, medical billing, or third‑party billing functions is highly desirable.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and analytical capabilities.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and build relationships with accounting and finance teams.
  • Ability to communicate financial information effectively to executives, operational leaders, and Board members.
  • Advanced financial education/credentials such as an MBA, relevant master’s degree, and/or CPA.
  • A leadership style that combines approachability and relationship‑building with accountability and follow‑through.

For a financial leader who wants the complexity and influence of a growing organization without sacrificing mission, relationships, or quality of life, this could be an exceptional next step.
