Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
  • Experience leading finance in manufacturing; ERP and AI initiatives experience valued.
  • Strong cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the organization’s financial strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Serve as trusted advisor to the President and executive team.
  • Provide financial analysis supporting strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and capital investments.
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range financial planning processes.
  • Oversee GAAP compliance, audits, and internal controls.
  • Mentor and develop the Finance team and drive continuous improvement.

Overview:

The Fountainhead Group, a leading manufacturer of high-quality liquid sprayer products, is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as a key member of the executive leadership team.

The CFO provides overall financial leadership for the organization, ensuring the financial strength, operational efficiency, and long‑term sustainability of the business. This role oversees all aspects of finance, accounting, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, financial planning and analysis, compliance, and risk management while partnering closely with executive leadership to drive profitable growth and strategic decision‑making. The CFO plays a central role in evaluating capital investments, technology and AI initiatives, and ensuring financial rigor is applied to all major business decisions.

This is a highly visible leadership position that balances strategic planning with hands‑on financial management in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute the organization's financial strategy in alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the President and executive leadership team.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations supporting strategic initiatives, acquisitions, capital investments, and long‑range planning.
  • Present financial performance, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to ownership and the executive leadership team.
  • Provide leadership in the adoption of AI and emerging technologies to enhance business insights and to deliver measurable improvements in workflow efficiency and automation.
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term financial planning processes.
  • Develop meaningful financial models and business analytics that support informed decision‑making.
  • Monitor financial performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve profitability and cash flow.
  • Establish and monitor key financial and operational performance metrics.
Manufacturing Finance & Cost Management
  • Direct all cost accounting functions including standard costing, inventory valuation (FIFO/LIFO), variance analysis, labor efficiency, overhead allocation, and product profitability.
  • Partner with Operations to identify cost savings, improve manufacturing efficiency, and optimize inventory investment.
  • Analyze production costs, margins, and operational performance across all manufacturing locations.
  • Support pricing strategies through financial analysis and cost modeling.
  • Provide financial evaluations and ROI analyses for major technology investments, including ERP and AI initiatives.
Accounting, Treasury & Compliance
  • Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll oversight, financial reporting, and month‑end/year‑end close.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, banking requirements, and internal controls.
  • Manage external audits, tax relationships, banking partnerships, insurance programs, and treasury functions.
  • Maintain effective financial controls and corporate governance practices.
Leadership & Organizational Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Build strong partnerships throughout the organization to ensure financial transparency and sound business decisions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Cost accounting
    • Financial planning & analysis
    • Budgeting and forecasting
    • Inventory management
    • Cash flow management
    • Manufacturing financial reporting
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience evaluating or utilizing ERP systems and AI-enabled technologies; Epicor Kinetic experience preferred.
Preferred:
  • CPA and/or MBA
  • Experience in privately held or family‑owned manufacturing companies
  • Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience
