Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, cash management, forecasting, and other financial operations.
  • Lead development of the annual budget and provide ongoing financial monitoring and analysis.
  • Monitor and mitigate financial and operational risk.
  • Oversee enterprise fund planning, monitoring, cost recovery, and long-term financial sustainability.
  • Support the development and implementation of business plans, financial models, and performance measures established by the Chief of Finance and Business Strategy.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for external audits and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Establish, maintain, and improve internal control systems and financial procedures.
  • Implement corrective actions arising from audits and monitoring activities.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for Procurement, including contract management, internal purchasing, and cooperative programs.
  • Support operational leaders in planning, budgeting, performance improvement, and alignment with organizational priorities.

Job Goal

Serve as the senior executive operational leader responsible for the execution, integrity, integration, and continuous improvement of Region 4’s financial, procurement, and external business support services. Provide executive leadership to ensure sound financial stewardship, efficient and customer-focused service delivery, strong internal controls, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and the long-term sustainability of assigned programs and enterprise activities. Translate the strategic direction established by the Chief of Finance and Business Strategy into coordinated operational plans, systems, performance measures, and accountability structures that advance Region 4’s mission and strengthen support for school districts and charter schools.

Qualifications
Required

Major Responsibilities
Financial Leadership and Oversight

Strategic Execution

Supervision/Personnel Management
