Job summary

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Biloxi is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic financial leadership for the Diocese and its affiliated entities, including Catholic Charities, de l’Epee Deaf Center and the Catholic Foundation of Biloxi.

Reporting directly to the Bishop, the CFO will oversee budgeting, audits, risk management and internal controls while advising diocesan leadership on financial strategy and long-term planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and extensive financial management experience in a nonprofit environment.
• Proven ability to lead financial strategy, reporting and governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, reporting and internal controls
• Oversee audits, compliance, investments, assets, insurance and financial risk
• Advise the Bishop and senior leadership on financial strategy
• Supervise and develop the finance team

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required; 7–10 years of financial management experience, preferably within a complex nonprofit organization. CPA preferred. Candidates should possess strong financial expertise, executive presence, leadership ability and a commitment to Catholic values and the Precepts of the Church.
