Job summary

The Vice Dean for Faculty Affairs and Faculty Development at Touro College & University System's School of Dentistry leads faculty excellence, recruitment, onboarding, development, and succession planning. Qualifications

• D.D.S./DMD from CODA-accredited dental school or equivalent.
• Licensure eligibility in New York State.
• Ten or more years of experience teaching and working in an academic environment.
• Five or more years of leadership experience in a dental school or health-related academic institution preferred.
• Experience and demonstrated excellence in teaching, training and mentoring faculty, dental students and/or residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for faculty affairs and faculty development.
• Oversee accreditation readiness, standards, and compliance in dental education.
• Collaborate with discipline directors to recruit and develop outstanding educators and leaders.
• Develop succession planning strategies and programs to strengthen the school's academic workforce.
• Foster an environment of professional growth, engagement, and collaboration across the School of Dentistry.
