POSITION: Chief Executive Officer

LOCATION: Pacific Northwest Coast - Hoquiam, WA

Harbors Home Health & Hospice, a nonprofit healthcare organization with over 44 years of dedicated service to the communities of Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties, is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Executive Officer/Administrator to lead our organization into its next chapter of growth and excellence.

Position Summary:

The CEO/Administrator is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, performance, and operations of Harbors Home Health & Hospice. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality care and services, compliance with regulatory standards, and the successful execution of the organization’s mission and vision. The ideal candidate is a strong, collaborative leader with a deep understanding of home health and hospice services, and a passion for serving the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the organization in alignment with its mission and vision.

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure consistent, high-quality care and service delivery.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures in compliance with federal and state regulations.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, referral sources, healthcare providers, and the broader community.

  • Monitor staff performance, ensuring access to training and development to maintain clinical excellence.

  • Serve as the principal advisor to the Board of Directors, providing strategic insights and operational updates.

  • Guide policy and procedural decisions in alignment with organizational values and community needs.

  • Foster community partnerships to enhance coordinated patient care and expand the organization’s outreach.

  • Represent the organization at public events, industry conferences, and within professional networks.

  • Oversee the development and management of the annual budget and ensure fiscal responsibility.

  • Support and enhance fundraising efforts and donor relationships.

  • Cultivate and lead a high-performing executive and leadership team.

  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in home health and hospice care.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold one of the following:

  • Washington State Physician’s License

    • Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) License

    • Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field and at least one (1) year of supervisory or administrative experience in home health care or a related healthcare program.

  • Proven leadership experience in home health, hospice, or related healthcare services.

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and build strategic partnerships.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • A commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and community service.
