Northside Neighborhood House in Chattanooga, TN seeks a visionary CEO to guide strategy, operations, and fiscal stewardship for a long-standing community nonprofit.
The role emphasizes strengthening relationships with the Board, donors, staff, and partners while expanding impact across our mult-site footprint. You will lead fundraising, financial planning, and organizational governance to ensure sustainable services for neighbors in need.
For more than 100 years, Northside Neighborhood House (NNH) has existed to uplift and empower our neighbors north of the river. Our footprint is northern Hamilton County, and we are intentionally rooted there, staying proximate to the neighbors we serve rather than spreading
thin.
Within that footprint, NNH has grown tremendously over the last twenty years: a tenfold
operating budget increase, new innovative programming, two sites to five, and 13 employees in
2006 to more than 70 today.
The CEO reports to the Board of Directors and leads NNH strategically, operationally, and fiscally. This is both an outward-facing and an inward-facing role: cultivating the funding and the people
NNH needs, guiding the strategic plan, partnering closely with an engaged board, and building a
workplace where a strong team can do its best work. This role leads the whole organization; it
does not run programs day to day.
The right person leads with relationships, is at ease asking for support, and keeps NNH
accountable to the neighbors it serves. If you can hold vision and follow-through in the same
hand, this is your team.
Lead one of Hamilton County's oldest nonprofits into its next century, backed by a strong financial
position, a history of successful fundraising, and a high-functioning, experienced Leadership Team.
Salary $140,000–$150,000.
