Job summary

Habitat for Humanity of the NC Sandhills invites an accomplished Chief Executive Officer to guide strategic direction, financial sustainability and community partnerships. The CEO reports to the Board and translates long-term plans into annual goals, aligning construction, repairs, family services, fundraising and ReStore operations.

The role leads a geographically distributed senior leadership team, fosters accountability and values safety and mission alignment, while expanding partnerships

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Proven executive leadership experience in nonprofit settings.
• Direct fundraising campaign experience and donor cultivation preferred.
• Strong verbal, written and public presentation skills.
• Experience building partnerships with local government, lenders and community organizations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and translate plans into annual operating goals.
• Oversee multi-faceted programs including construction, repairs, family services, fundraising and ReStore operations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls across diverse revenue streams.
• Mentor and recruit a high-performing senior leadership team across dispersed sites.
• Cultivate partnerships with government, lenders, donors and community organizations.
• Act as liaison to the Board and provide KPI dashboards and performance reports.
