Job summary

Air Force Legal Operations Agency seeks a senior environmental law attorney to lead the Restoration Branch of the Environmental Law Field Support Center. You will supervise a specialized team of GS-15/GS-14 attorneys, manage complex caseloads, and ensure uniform application of environmental restoration policies.

You will formulate comprehensive legal advice, support DERP and CERCLA matters, and serve as the primary interface between operational units and policymakers.

Qualifications

• Must have ABA-accredited law degree (JD or LLB) and be in active status with a bar of a U.S. state or territory.
• Ability to conduct complex legal research and interpret environmental restoration laws (CERCLA, RCRA, SWDA).
• Experience supervising attorneys and coordinating large legal teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a geographically dispersed team of senior and staff attorneys on environmental restoration matters.
• Provide authoritative legal opinions and advisory services to Air Force installations and senior leadership.
• Develop and deliver specialized training to keep attorneys current on environmental law.
